October Sky Response A:

In the movie, October Sky we met the main character Homer Hickam, who had displayed many different traits. Some of these traits included considerate, proud, determined, aspiring, and ambitious. I think that ambition and determination are his most valuable qualities, I think so because even though he failed in sports, he had realized that in Science and Rocketry he would have a much better future. He did not stop trying until he succeeded, even though he could have stopped trying because of failure, but he chose not to. We should think like him too, even if we fail at something we should keep trying until we succeed. His ambition led him to build the rocket, win the contest, and show everyone. Also, his father did not approve but that did not let him stop him from building his future. This is important because he did not let anyone come in the way of his dreams.
