When the Holocaust was brought up, some questions that I had included;
What is a death camp? How many of them were there?
A death camp is a concentration camp with special apparatus specifically designed for systematic murder. There were 6 of them in total.
How many Jews were murdered during the Holocaust?
The number of Jews rhat were murdered during this horrific time were over 5,860,000.
Why were Jews the only ones that were mistreated (targeted)?
Hitler had a pathological (abnormal) hatred of Jews. He was an anti-semite (anti-semitism = specifically hatred of Jews). Hitler managed to convince the Germans that the Jews were to blame for all the problems in the country.
The Holocaust Memoriam was very educational and interesting, it was hard to watch and listen about what the Jews went through but it must have been much harder on them to go through.
